Privacy Policy

DanceKatta (for students) and DanceCount (for studios) are one platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, mobile number.
• Participant details when you register someone else (e.g. a child): name, date of birth and any note you choose to share, such as medical information.
• Registration and payment records: class, amount, status and payment reference.
• Studio details provided by studio owners: studio, branch and instructor information.

We never see or store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords. Payments are processed by Razorpay.

Why we use it

• To register you for classes and confirm your seat.
• To share your registration with the studio you enrolled in, so they can run the class.
• To process payments, prevent fraud and meet legal/tax obligations.

Who can see your data

Only you, the studio you registered with, and platform administrators. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Children

Children do not have accounts. A parent or guardian registers them and gives consent on their behalf, and remains the contact for the registration.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted by strict permission rules. We keep records only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing support@dancekatta.com. Studio owners can reach us at studios@dancecount.com. We will respond within 30 days.
